National Apprenticeship Week at KH Hair Hinckley: Celebrating Our Talented Apprentices
National Apprenticeship Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work and achievements of young talent, and at KH Hair in Hinckley, we’re proud to shine a light on our four apprentices. Maisie, Keeley, Violet, and Olivia have each brought their unique skills and enthusiasm to the world of hairdressing, and their journeys are inspiring examples of the opportunities apprenticeships provide.
At KH Hair Hinckley, we’re committed to nurturing the future of our industry. All four of our apprentices joined us as 16-year-old school leavers, eager to learn and grow in a hands-on, professional environment. The apprenticeship program lasts two years and combines in-salon training with education at our salon academy, giving them the skills and experience they need to thrive.
Our Apprentices at KH Hair Hinckley
Maisie is a second-year apprentice who has shown great confidence and passion for hairdressing. From the moment she joined, Maisie quickly discovered her love for colour work—whether it’s vibrant shades or beautiful balayage, she enjoys the creativity and transformation that comes with it. Outside of the salon, Maisie is outgoing and enjoys dancing, making her a lively presence both at work and in her personal life. Her natural flair for hairdressing and her enthusiasm for learning have made her an invaluable part of our team.
Keeley, also in her second year, has made a name for herself with her talent for long hairdressing. From intricate updos to beautiful braids, Keeley has a real passion for working with long hair, and her skill is evident in every style she creates. Outside of the salon, Keeley enjoys dancing, and her weekends are often filled with socialising and spending time with friends. Her dedication to perfecting her craft and her positive attitude make her a key part of the KH Hinckley team. Here is some of Keeley’s recent work she has done!

Although Olivia is still in the early stages of her apprenticeship, having only joined in November, she’s already showing great promise. Olivia has quickly picked up essential skills like shampooing and has developed a strong knowledge of hair treatments and retail products. Outside of the salon, Olivia helps at a stables in her part-time job and has a true love for horses, which adds to her caring and hardworking nature. Olivia’s attention to detail and eagerness to learn have made her a great addition to the team.
Violet, also a first-year apprentice, has a keen interest in the theory side of hairdressing. She enjoys studying the science behind the craft, and her academic approach to learning makes her stand out. Violet excels in her college courses, and her attention to detail is evident in everything she does. Outside of work, Violet enjoys karaoke and loves to bring her fun and lively personality to the team. Her strong focus on learning and her passion for the industry make her an exciting future talent in the world of hairdressing.
